Rediscover nature on a new type of activity, combining cruising and rambling in one trip. Europe’s great rivers often flow through scenic valleys with beautiful sloping banks on both sides. Here, vineyards and castles are often the most frequent signs of human activity. It therefore seemed entirely logical to link the tranquillity of a gentle cruise along a river with rambling, which is conducted at a similar pace along footpaths and walkways. The main aim of a cruise for ramblers is not to break any world records but to offer the passengers the chance to enjoy the charming scenery on offer to the full, while at the same time putting a little physical effort into their rambling. It is for this reason that we propose rambles that are only two or three hours in duration and at a reasonably gentle pace. On some cruises, however, you may be offered the opportunity to take part in a full-day outing.
